How Hypnosis Works

Using progressive relaxation and direct suggestion, you will connect directly with your imagination and inner creative self – the subconscious part of your mind which influences your actions and feelings.​ ​In the relaxing state of hypnosis, your subconscious becomes free and receptive to positive and beneficial suggestions, releasing negative emotional blocks. You will access your inner resources and explore your hidden ideas and insights, using a proven technique of hypnosis and/or hypnotherapy. You can change old behaviours and habits into new constructive ones, transforming your life challenges into enhancing life experience and engagement.​

Format of a Session

  • Pre-Talk – A comprehensive discussion with regarding to the presenting concern. Explanation and discussion of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Using a combination of slow and deliberate breathing, counting and visualization, you relax the body and mind and become more relaxed to more easily and readily enter trance.
  • Self-Discovery and Change – While relaxed and in trance, your attention is focused inwardly, and you’re able to accept suggestions without distractions. You can then explore experiences to help re-own aspects of yourself or to deepen the value of an experience. You can safely remember details of a memory to satisfy a curiosity, recall important details, or explore wish fulfillment dreams, etc. Discussion and release of misconceptions is big here! By accessing the wisdom and compassion of your subconscious, including forgiveness of oneself and others and the release of blame, you can reach a more full resolution for your presenting concern. As long as your subconscious mind believes these suggestions are beneficial to you, it accepts them easily and your life will positively reflect the new changes.
  • Exit – Positive post-hypnotic suggestions for continued integration and healing. Arousal from hypnosis.
  • Post-hypnotic interview – Discuss highlights from session and next steps. Schedule follow-up session(s), as required.

The number of sessions is unique to each person and their situation, goal, motivation and commitment to the process.

SESSION 1 – Discovery Session & Hypnosis
We discuss your identified concerns, the behaviours or challenges you wish to change, and determine your goals. ​You will most likely experience hypnosis in this session.

SESSION 2 & SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS
A follow-up session/s is a crucial step in making positive change in yourself ​as it is an opportunity to check what is happening, what has changed, what is different, and how to proceed to maximize success.Using progressive relaxation and direct suggestion, you will connect directly with your imagination and inner creative self – the subconscious part of your mind which influences your actions and feelings.​
