About the Author

Hi, I'm Tamelynda. Writing has been part of my life's work for decades, and every book I publish grows out of the same mission as my practice: helping people break free from what holds them back so they can find and secure inner happiness and peace.

With over 30 years of experience, I've invested myself in supporting individuals as a life coach (career and business start-up) and then evolved my private practice to include hypnosis for life issues, health and wellness, and end-of-life support. As a certified hypnosis practitioner, I help clients break free from anxiety and stress, bad habits, and other concerns so they can move forward, improving their health and wellbeing. In a holistic approach, I also work with chronic pain, caregiver stress, and managing terminal illness and end-of-life issues.

For 18 years I co-careered as a non-profit leader in entrepreneurial education and support. My initiatives of creating, piloting, and delivering successful educational programs received national attention and were delivered as best practice programs in the non-profit community. I have worked both privately with clients and on contract with post-secondary educational institutions as well as private sector businesses and government.

I'm also a freelance writer, contributing regularly to community magazines and online, and I published my first non-fiction book in 2015 on Amazon. Today I provide editing and publishing support for those wishing to self-publish, and I am the founder of the Pinecone Book Award, which recognizes and promotes self-published authors. Caregiver Recovery:

Beyond the Bedside, A Caregiver's Path to Thriving

My newest release. If you have cared for a loved one and now find yourself asking "who am I, beyond the bedside?", I wrote this book for you. It offers direction after loss, support in adjusting to life after a loved one's recovery, and guidance for professionals who walk alongside caregivers in transition. Inside you'll find comfort, practical wisdom, and voices of hope ranging from Maya Angelou to grief expert David Kessler.

Tender Truths Caring for the Dying

This collection of beautifully written, astonishing, and relatable stories turns the focus onto the practitioner and caregiver. Written by compassionate, skilled, and inspiring practitioners in the areas of end-of-life such as hospice, palliative care, thanatology, education, paramedic and police services, chaplaincy, hypnosis and meditation, and death doula work. The co-authors are kind and courageous and openly share their vulnerability and what it means to work in the area of end-of-life care. Bold Spirit Caring for the Dying

The book readers tell me they were afraid to open, and then couldn't put down. I brought together eleven compassionate, skilled practitioners from hospice, palliative care, thanatology, personal support work, and death doula work to share what they wish they had known when they began caring for the dying. Charles Garfield called it "one of those rare books with the power to inspire the best in all of us."

Writing down our stories gives voice to the importance of end-of-life care. Sharing them offers the gift of hope.

Wrongful Dismissal From Wounded to Thriving

Wrongful Dismissal From Wounded to Thriving - This book offers suggestions to help you find your own best answer for your career transition situation. It will help you explore your story, options and choices, and also offer tips and words of inspiration to help you through this specific journey of career transition. This book is intended to help you with your decision to litigate, manage your finances between employment, and heal emotionally. It also offers direction to help you get ready for a successful job search and career transition. Throughout the book there is opportunity for you to jot down some of your thoughts and reaction to what you have read and plan your next steps. In addition to the reflection questions throughout the book, at the end of each chapter is a section to foster personal goal setting.

My Books Come from My Practice. My Practice Is Open to You.

Every book on this page grew out of real work with real clients: caregivers finding themselves again, families navigating end-of-life, people breaking free from what holds them back. If a topic here touches your life right now, you don't have to only read about it. My door is open.

I offer a free 20-minute chat, online from anywhere or in person in London, Ontario, so we can talk about what's going on and how hypnosis might help.

Want to Write Your Own Book? I Can Help with That Too.

I provide editing, proofreading, and publishing support for authors who want to self-publish, from first draft to files ready for Amazon. And through the Pinecone Book Award, I celebrate self-published authors doing remarkable work.
